Orthopedic Surgery and Sports is looking for an full time X-Ray technician. 

Responsible for getting clear imaging results, preparing equipment, positioning patients for imaging exam, monitoring patients during the exam and keep patients calm and informed throughout the x-ray procedure. Answer patient questions or concerns about the procedure. This is position  will also be cross trained to assist in bringing patients to the exam room, taking medical histories and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination and assisting the physician during the examination, follow physician instructions to complete patient’s treatment.  Take record of interventions, and ensure prescription refills are made and patient medicine reconciliation is completed.  Responsible for stocking rooms with medical supplies.  Perform administrative duties like taking and returning calls from patients. Adhere to medical standards of care, works under the direct supervision of the physician Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

1.       American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) certification, preferred.
2.       Anatomy and physiology required.
3.       Efficient in the use of standard office equipment, data entry, typing, 10-key skills, and alpha/numerical filing.
 
Essential Functions (Physical):
·         Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.
·         Majority of the shift is spent standing.
·         Frequent reaching, stooping and twisting when filing, accessing records and answering telephone
·         Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
·         Read a variety of printed and handwritten materials, computerized reports, manuals, and correspondence.
·         Communicates with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on the telephone.
 
Work Environment:
Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine operates in a professional office environment.  Days and hours of work are conducted Monday thru Friday 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine has multiple locations and travel may be required. 
Compensation: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour
